About me

Since 2013 I have worked as a web developer and in hybrid roles as a Business Analyst and product or project manager. I have used Ruby, Rails, SQL, Javascript/HTML/CSS. I am experienced in automating deployment on AWS and Heroku, and in managing teams using GitHub and Scrum or KanBan methods.

My background is in retail and business banking, I worked for AIB for 6 years in Change Management, until I left to work in photography and web admin roles and subsequently re-trained as a developer. I have an excellent, broad range of technical and software skills which I can combine with strong communication and project management skills. I really enjoy working in this area, constantly learning and helping myself, my colleagues and my cients reach their potential.

In 2016 I worked as a volunteer language teacher (French and English) in the refugee camp in Calais. I have also worked with campaigns to end homelessness in Ireland.

Personal Interests

I'm a huge music fan, one of the things I love about living in Dublin is the access to so much quality live music, festivals and oppostunities to be involved, from developing bourbon.fm to supporting friends' or family's music careers.

I've practised yoga and meditation for many years, and I used to organise evening classes at work for my colleagues in AIB. I also love photography, and although mainly as a aesthete these days I have previously worked in the area.
